1) Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Sofre ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Sofre for Drivers App (the "App") as a delivery partner.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2) Information we collect
A) Information you provide
- Account information: full name, phone number, email address, profile photo
- Identity verification: national ID or other identification documents (if required)
- Vehicle information: vehicle type, license plate (if applicable)
- Financial information: earnings, cash balance, payout history, bank account details for payouts
- Delivery photos: photos taken as proof of delivery
- Support communications: messages and information you share with support
B) Location information
Important: This App collects location data while you are online to assign ready orders to the nearest available courier and to support live delivery tracking, including when the App is closed or not in use.
- Precise GPS location: We collect your precise location when you are online and accepting deliveries.
- Background location: When you go online in the App, we collect your location in the background to assign ready orders to the nearest available courier, track active deliveries, and share your location with customers.
- Location sharing: Your live location is shared with customers during active deliveries so they can track their order.
You can stop location collection by going offline in the App or by revoking location permissions in your device settings. However, you cannot accept or complete deliveries without location access.
C) Information collected automatically
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system, app version, language settings
- Usage and diagnostics: screens viewed, actions taken, crash logs, performance data
- Network data: IP address and approximate region (used for security and reliability)
3) How we use your information
We use your information to:
- create and manage your driver account
- assign ready orders to the nearest available courier while you are online
- track and coordinate active deliveries
- share your live location with customers during deliveries
- calculate and process your earnings and payouts
- track cash collected and cash balance
- provide customer support and resolve disputes
- verify delivery completion with photos
- send service communications (delivery requests, updates, announcements)
- improve the App (performance, reliability, user experience)
- detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies
4) Push notifications
We send push notifications for new delivery requests, order updates, earnings notifications, and service announcements. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings. Disabling notifications may affect your ability to receive delivery requests.
5) How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We may share information as follows:
- With customers: your first name, profile photo, vehicle info, and live location are shared during active deliveries.
- With restaurants: your name and arrival status when picking up orders.
- With service providers: we use Supabase for core infrastructure (authentication, database, storage). Providers may process data on our instructions.
- With map providers: Apple and Google may process data needed for navigation and routing.
- Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect users, prevent fraud, or respond to safety/security issues.
6) Location data retention
- Active delivery tracking: Your precise location during deliveries is temporarily stored to support delivery operations.
- Post-delivery: Location tracking data is deleted within 24 hours after delivery completion, unless longer retention is required by law or needed to address disputes or safety incidents.
- When offline: We do not collect your location when you are offline in the App.
7) International data transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.
8) Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:
- Right to access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Right to correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Right to deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal exceptions)
- Right to data portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format

9) Account deletion
Drivers can request account deletion by contacting support@mysofre.com.
When you delete your account:
- your driver profile is deactivated
- we stop using your data for active services
- we may retain limited records if required for legal compliance, financial auditing, or dispute resolution
- any outstanding cash balance must be settled before account deletion
10) Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be available within the App and at www.mysofre.com.
