Sofre Privacy Policy

1) Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Sofre ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Sofre Customer App (the "App") and related customer features on www.mysofre.com (together, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2) Information we collect
A) Information you provide
- Account information: name, phone number, email (if provided), profile photo (optional)
- Delivery information: delivery address, saved addresses, delivery instructions
- Order information: items ordered, special notes, order history, refunds/complaints
- Support communications: messages and information you choose to share with support
B) Information collected automatically
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system, app version, language settings
- Usage and diagnostics: screens viewed, taps, searches, crash logs, performance data
- Network data: IP address and approximate region (used for security and reliability)
C) Location information (optional)
If you enable location permission, we may access approximate or precise location to show nearby restaurants, improve address accuracy, and estimate delivery times. You can disable location permission in your device settings.
3) Live delivery tracking and temporary location history
During an active delivery, you may be able to see the Driver's live location in real time to track delivery progress and ETA.
Temporary GPS history:
- We temporarily store exact GPS tracking data related to an order to support delivery operations and order tracking.
- Tracking information may remain visible to you until the order is marked as delivered.
- Location tracking data is deleted within 24 hours after delivery or the end of tracking, unless longer retention is required by law or needed to address a serious safety/security incident.
Note: The Driver's live location is collected through the Sofre for Drivers app and shared with you through the customer app for the purpose of completing your delivery.
4) Maps (Apple Maps and Google Maps)
The App uses Apple Maps and Google Maps features such as map display, address lookup (geocoding), and routing to support address selection, restaurant discovery, and delivery coordination. Depending on your device and settings, Apple or Google may process technical data and/or location-related data needed to provide mapping functionality.
5) Push notifications
We may send push notifications for order updates, delivery status, promotions, and service announcements. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings or within the App. Disabling notifications may affect your ability to receive timely order updates.
6) How we use your information
We use your information to:
- create and manage your account
- process orders and coordinate delivery
- provide customer support and resolve disputes
- send service communications (order confirmations, status updates, security notices)
- improve the Services (performance, reliability, user experience)
- detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies
7) How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We may share information as follows:
- With restaurants: order details needed to prepare your order (items, notes). Limited contact and delivery details may be shared when necessary for fulfillment.
- With Drivers: pickup/drop-off details needed to deliver your order (delivery address, instructions, and contact details needed for delivery coordination).
- With service providers: we use Supabase for core infrastructure (authentication, database, storage). Providers may process data on our instructions to operate the Services.
- With map providers: Apple and Google may process data needed for map and routing features.
- Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect users, prevent fraud, or respond to safety/security issues.
8) International data transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries outside your country of residence, including countries that may have different data protection laws. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
9) Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services, resolve disputes, maintain records, and meet legal/accounting obligations.
- Location tracking data: deleted within 24 hours as described above.
- Order and account records: retained as needed for operations and compliance, then deleted or anonymized where appropriate.
10) Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:
- Right to access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Right to correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Right to deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal exceptions)
- Right to data portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Right to object: Object to certain processing of your personal information
- Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

11) Account deletion (permanent)
Customers can permanently delete their account from within the App.
When you delete your account:
- we remove or de-identify your profile information where possible
- we stop using your data for active services
- we may retain limited records only if required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution
If you cannot access the App, you may request deletion by contacting support@mysofre.com.
12) Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
13) Children's privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
14) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be available within the App and at www.mysofre.com.
